A single salesperson can wield the power of 10 with Wishpond Technologies Ltd. (TSX-V:WISH, OTCQX:WPNDF)'s AI-powered sales assistant SalesCloser, the company’s CEO Ali Tajskandar believes.
Tajskandar recently joined Proactive to discuss the company’s beta program launch of Salescloser: a platform that will allow businesses to autonomously communicate with prospective clients and provide them with product demonstrations 24/7 in 10 languages.
Proactive: The company has announced the launch of the beta program for Sales Closer. Let’s talk about what SalesCloser is.
AT: SalesCloser is the first of its kind. It provides sales demos on a Zoom call and will later on phone calls. Right now, if you want to provide a demo of a software or product you would need to bring a salesperson to learn about your business, present the offering and close the deal – in this case, the AI is doing that.
It can let companies give more power to their existing salespeople so that each person is as powerful as 10 people, to be able to do more with less.
It also allows us to move up in the market as well as this is a product that is unlike our other products that have been focused on small and medium businesses (SMB). This has appeal for larger companies as well.
So, a salesperson can take 10 calls, let’s say, whereas this AI can run 24 hours a day, seven days a week?
That’s right. But it goes even further than that. It can talk in 10 different languages. If someone is speaking Spanish and your salesperson doesn’t, the AI can. Or let’s say a business is running a promotion and needs 20 salespeople but doesn’t need this many on their payroll all the time, you can scale vertically immediately and bring it back down as needed.
It can also be used to sell products where traditionally the product price point is low or the average value per customer has been low so it wasn’t possible to be sold through normal salespeople. It provides a lot of opportunities like that.
With the beta launch, are you testing it with different companies?
More than 300 companies have signed up to be a part of the beta program and get early access to the product. We’re going to open it up to a select number of them in the beta program. It’s going to last about a month and a half to make sure there aren’t any rough edges we need to clean up. Then, sometime in March, we will release it for general availability for any business to come in and use.
You’ve added Kevin Ho to the SalesCloser team. What are his orders moving forward?
Kevin is a fantastic leader. He’s been with the company for many years, approaching 10 years, and has held different roles.
With SalesCloser, we knew the opportunity was so enormous so we wanted to make sure we put our best foot forward, so we chose him to lead. He’s already done a really good job preparing for the vendor launch and many other initiatives that are going on to make sure that in 2024 we see a good ramp-up of SalesCloser.
