Great Republic Mining (CSE:GRM) said that its exploration efforts had expanded vanadium mineralization at the Porcher Island vanadium-titanium-iron property in British Columbia.
The junior resource company's 2023 prospecting, sampling, and ground geophysics program yielded promising results, according to a statement from Great Republic.
The program involved collecting 30 rock samples, revealing vanadium values up to 0.17%, equivalent to 0.303% V205.
It also utilized 2019 airborne magnetic geophysics data, confirming distinct high magnetic anomalies, and conducted five line-km of ground magnetics, uncovering numerous localized magnetic highs for future exploration.
These findings from the 2023 field program reinforce the potential for a large-scale stratified vanadium-iron-titanium mineralized system on the Porcher Island property, according to Great Republic.
Additionally, historic airborne magnetics surveys identified two other areas, measuring 2.5 by 4.5km and 2 by 3km, which returned anomalous vanadium values, which Great Republic will further investigate.
"Our project's advantageous location on the Pacific coast, coupled with the results of our field program, underscores the potential of significant vanadium values within the expansive magnetic anomalies spanning several square kilometers,” Fred Davidson, CEO of Great Republic Mining (CSE:GRM), told shareholders.
