United Lithium appoints Swedish mining veteran as director

United Lithium Corp (CSE:ULTH, OTC:ULTHF), the mining exploration and development company, announced the immediate appointment of natural resource veteran Henrik Lundin to its board of directors.

Lundin’s background spans 18 years across the global natural resource sector, having worked in previous board roles for both public and private companies in the mining and oil and gas sectors.

“Being based in Europe, I recognize the opportunity to develop local assets to help support the European Union’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality,” Lundin said.

“United’s Swedish and Finnish projects are well positioned to take advantage of the various benefits becoming available for European projects to build out domestic supply chains.”

Lundin's tenure includes significant positions such as chairman of Gold Line Resources and chief operating officer of TAG Oil Ltd.

Scott Eldridge, United Lithium’s president and CEO said: “I am excited to welcome Mr. Lundin. His European know-how and experience will prove valuable as we continue to unlock value in Sweden and Finland.’’

Following Lundin's appointment, United Lithium also revealed Cathy Fitzgerald has resigned from her roles as a director and executive vice president of exploration.
