T Stamp Inc (NASDAQ:IDAI, EURONEXT:AIID) (dba Trust Stamp) aims to integrate its privacy-focused AI identity authentication technologies into programs serving US Defense, intelligence, and Federal Civilian agencies.
Earlier this month, Trust Stamp announced a partnership with ManTech to accelerate the adoption of Trust Stamp's technology within the government sector, leveraging ManTech's expertise and track record in successful government engagements.
In an interview with Proactive, Trust Stamp president Andrew Gowasack discusses the company's partnership with ManTech and highlights Trust Stamp's privacy-first technology's value for the federal government.
Proactive: Tell us more about how the partnership with ManTech came together.
AG: The teaming agreement began at the Georgia Institute of Technologies Advanced Technology Development Center, also known as ATDC. We were members of ATDC from 2018 until 2020 when we graduated as a signature company. Trust Stamp’s privacy-first technology has a lot of use cases in the federal government, and our implementation within ManTech's product offering is really a tremendous opportunity to accelerate adoption in that sector.

Is that why you made this alliance? Because you felt the technologies worked well together?
The US government is already leveraging biometrics in various sectors, including border control, critical identity access management, and even benefit registration and tax payment. There are three key areas where Trust Stamp can drive significant value.
Firstly, in biometric system security and data privacy, as highlighted by the 2015 breach of 5.6 million biometric records at the US Office of Personnel Management. With emerging threats like quantum technology, our transformed identity token removes the need to store sensitive biometric data, enhancing privacy and security.
Secondly, we aim to break biometric system lock-in, addressing the challenges posed by proprietary outputs from vendors, allowing government agencies to select the best solutions.
Lastly, we focus on preventing fraud, particularly in zero-trust architectures, where traditional identifiers like social security numbers are vulnerable. By combining our privacy-first approach with biometrics, we strengthen the government's ability to combat fraud without compromising privacy.
It seems like these types of interactions with the government are important for a company like Trust Stamp, because once you become “trusted,” it helps enable you to be more thought of when it comes to contracts from government. Would you agree?
