Artemis Resources Ltd (ASX:ARV, AIM:ARV, OTCQB:ARTTF) has provided an exploration update on its projects in West Pilbara, focusing on the potential of its Kobe and Osborne sites for lithium extraction.
Recent drilling has revealed sub-vertical orientations of pegmatites at these locations, with one drill hole possibly stopping short of the Osborne target.
A planned RC drilling program in March aims to further investigate Osborne's near-surface lithium-rich zone, following “significant mineralisation” confirmed by new outcrop sampling.
Rock chip sampling assays showed:
- 2.36% Li2O, 32ppm Ta2O5 and 92 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT24-021)
- 1.64% Li2O, 3ppm Ta2O5 and 14 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT24-033)
- 1.22% Li2O, 45ppm Ta2O5 and 76 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT20-693)
- 1.15% Li2O, 38ppm Ta2O5 and 102 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT24-026)
Additionally, the exploration at Mt Marie continues, with the company enthusiastic about the forthcoming activities and updates.
Artemis' lithium projects are notably close to Azure Minerals' Andover Discovery, underscoring the area's potential for lithium and other minerals.
Executive director George Ventouras commented: "The results from the stratigraphic holes drilled on the Osborne JV tenement have provided valuable information for the technical team to refine and develop further drill programs.
The geology has provided clear evidence as to the subterrain and potential location of the pegmatites which will be followed up shortly.
“Additionally, we are encouraged by the extension to the Osborne trend and look forward to further ground reconnaissance in the same area.
“With the above and our results from the Mt Marie lithium prospect, we are very excited for the next few months of activity and news flow."
