Galliford wins place on new affordable homes framework

Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) has secured a place on the Communities & Housing Investment Consortium’s latest new-build development framework for affordable homes.

Under this £3.2 billion eight-year framework, Galliford has won spots on the second and third lots, relating new-build projects worth over £10 million and regeneration works.

“Our group has a strong track record in residential developments,” chief executive Bill Hocking commented in a statement on Monday.

“The affordable homes market is a key adjacent sector for our business within our sustainable growth strategy.”

The consortium is a member-owned nationwide procurement and asset management pool, consisting mainly of housing associations and local authorities.

Galliford said that it anticipated accessing the framework to build low and medium-rise affordable apartments for rent.

“We are delighted to have been awarded a place on this new framework [...] and look forward to working with members to deliver much-needed affordable schemes across the country,” Hocking added.
