Bitcoin rallies as ETFs grow assets, the halving event and who's Craig Wright - Crypto Roundup

Proactive journalist William "Billy" Farrington provides a comprehensive overview of the current cryptocurrency market, highlighting a significant bullish trend in Bitcoin prices.

This week, Bitcoin saw a remarkable rally, reaching around $47,000, marking a 10% increase week on week. This surge is particularly notable as it comes in the wake of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) from major financial institutions like BlackRock and Fidelity being approved, a move initially expected to catalyze a bullish momentum for Bitcoin. Despite a slow start post-ETF approvals, the market is now witnessing the positive impact of these developments, with substantial cash inflows into the spot market, particularly highlighted by a $1.8 billion net cash inflow across ten ETF products.

Farrington also sheds light on preparations for the upcoming Bitcoin halving in April, an event anticipated to further fuel the market's bullishness. Hive Digital, for instance, is bolstering its mining capabilities with the acquisition of 7,000 new ASIC computers, aiming to mine Bitcoin at a cost of $10,000 per unit, significantly below the current market price.

Additionally, Farrington touches on the intriguing legal battle involving Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator. Wright is currently facing a lawsuit from the Crypto Open Patent Alliance, seeking to challenge his claim to the Bitcoin invention in the UK High Court.
