Uber Eats will provide Co-op members with discounted prices whenever they order from the supermarket while using the delivery app, in a UK supermarket first.
Discounts on 250 Co-op products will be available on the app for customers who enter their membership number before checkout.
It comes after the two companies partnered up in 2022, providing users with access to Co-op deliveries from around 1,000 of its UK stores.
Chris Conway, Co-op's e-commerce director, said: “Growing and innovating our online channels is a fundamental part of our approach, and our members are at the heart of our business.
“Co-op membership is a different way of doing business, and by working with Uber Eats in this way we can provide greater financial benefits to our members, who own our business, through lower prices and savings across an extensive choice of everyday groceries.”
Last month, Co-op revealed plans to increase its number of members from 5 million to 8 million by 2030, having experienced a 15% uptick in active members during 2023.
However, not all customers will be pleased, after it was revealed last week that the group was axing one of its loyalty scheme rewards with members no longer earning cash when they buy Co-op’s own branded products and services.
