AI-powered podcast ad producer AudioStack raises £2.5m

AudioStack, a London-based startup, has raised £2.5 million to continue developing its artificial intelligence (AI) voice advert technology.

The funding round enables the startup to "accelerate our global expansion and intensify focus on successful business cases", said co-founder Timo Kunz, a musician who holds a PhD in AI.

AudioStack's generative AI software quickly builds audio adverts for podcasts and radio with text-to-speech, music and AI-based post-production for audio brands and ad agencies, reducing audio production time from several days to hours or minutes (and presumably doing away with several jobs currently completed by humans).

It is already working with major ad agencies including Omnicom and Publicis, publishers such as podcast specialist Acast and Heart radio owner iHeart, with advertisers such as McDonald’s, Porsche and Mountain Dew.

Leading this round of 'pre-series A' investment was London-based Quadri Ventures, backed by existing investors including angel investor Fred Destin and media investor Alexis van de Wyer, who sits on the board.

AudioStack was founded in 2019 by Kunz, Peadar Coyle and Björn Ühss.
