Global Energy Metals adds ‘missing piece’ uranium to portfolio

Global Energy Metals Corp (TSX-V:GEMC) this week announced that it has entered into a royalty and option agreement with Fulcrum Metals for their uranium projects located in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Global Energy Metals CEO Mitchell Smith and Fulcrum Metals CEO Ryan Mee recently joined Proactive’s Steve Darling to discuss the development.

Smith told Proactive that Global Energy Metals has accumulated a sizeable portfolio of battery metal projects and uranium was something missing from this. He said uranium is a critical commodity to provide investors will exposure to the new energy economy.

“This transaction with Fulcrum really solves that missing piece,” he said.

He described the agreement as a “right time, right jurisdiction, right commodity” scenario.

“Fulcrum is a fantastic company with a strong presence in Ontario and Saskatchewan,” he said. “We see this as a first step in realizing the full value of this incredible uranium project portfolio.”

Mee added: “[This project] deserves the attention of other companies to help us realize its value. That’s what this agreement with Global is and we’re delighted they are on this journey with us.”
