FPX Nickel Secures a total of 45 Million Dollars in funding, Ensuring Strong Growth Ahead

FPX Nickel CEO Martin Turenne joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news regarding the company's strategic investors and their recent exercise of participation rights. Turenne explained that all three strategic investors have fully exercised their participation rights to re-establish their initial ownership interest in FPX's issued and outstanding common shares. Sumitomo Mining's investment of $14 million, combined with the increased participation of the three investors, has bolstered the company's cash position to approximately $45 million. This significant cash infusion positions FPX Nickel favorably, providing the company with ample resources to support its workplan in the Decar Nickel District through 2024 and 2025.

The Decar Nickel District represents a substantial greenfield discovery of nickel mineralization in the form of awaruite, a naturally occurring nickel-iron mineral found in an ultramafic/ophiolite complex. The CEO outlined their plans for collaborative development, engaging with indigenous partners and communities. The company aims to navigate the environmental assessment process and progress towards a construction decision.

Turenne highlighted ongoing engineering work, metallurgical testing, and exploration programs with the Government of Japan. Despite challenges in the nickel market, Turenne expressed optimism, noting the company's strong financial position, insulating them from potential financing risks in the coming years. This strategic move, done at a 70% premium to prior share values, signals confidence in the project's viability.
