easyJet PLC (LSE:EZJ), the airline company, is offering free holidays for grandparents going away with their families.
As part of the group’s tour operator division, easyJet Holidays, older relatives will get the chance to receive free tickets to European destinations such as Italy, Spain and Greece.
The move comes after its recent findings that half of the families have never embarked on overseas holidays which have included grandparents.
Matt Callaghan, chief operating officer of easyJet Holidays, said: “We’re proud to offer thousands of free kids’ places, but we feel it’s time to recognise the grandparents.
“This research shows how important grandparent and grandchild relationships are and how much can be learned from making time for them.”
Only one grandparent will be eligible to travel free of charge and it is only available for a limited number of spaces.
