Silver X Mining Corp (TSX-V:AGX, OTC:WRPSF) announced that it achieved steady production during the fourth quarter at its Nueva Recuperada silver-gold-zinc-lead property in Peru.
The company restarted operations at the mine on September 19, 2023, and during the fourth quarter, it processed 354,205 ounces of silver equivalent, a 193% increase sequentially.
Production was 292,380 ounces of silver equivalent, down slightly from 302,386 ounces of silver equivalent in the year-ago quarter.
The company continues to ramp up production at the project in tandem with infill activities and cost reduction strategies, it highlighted.
"Our team is doing a great job in taking Recuperada back to positive cashflows," Silver X CEO Jose M. Garcia said in a statement.
"As a result of the operational reset between July and September last year, we have managed to streamline operations, improve performance, and run the mine at a more competitive cost. Those economic results will be published in the next few weeks.”
The CEO added that the company continues to increase throughput and improve head grade by implementing better ore selectivity and more robust mine development.
“I look forward to a successful 2024 year ahead for Silver X,” he said.
Silver X is a rapidly expanding silver developer and producer. It owns the 20,000-hectare Nueva Recuperada Silver District in Central Peru and produces silver, gold, lead and zinc from its Tangana project.
