Power Metal jumps 20% on new Botswana drilling programme

Power Metal Resources rocketed higher on a seemingly procedural operations announcement that drilling is set to get underway at the Molopo Farms Complex nickel prospect in Botswana.

The project is one Power Metal has been involved with for some time, but other things have been moving the company’s way recently as well.

In Canada, and before the recent surge in the price to a sixteen-year high, the company picked up plenty of acreage in the uranium hotspot of the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan.

Power Metal also was one of the few companies last year to get a spin-off away when it listed its subsidiary Golden Metal on AIM in May.

The share price of GMR has since almost doubled on good drilling results for gold plus credits for silver and uranium at Garfield in Nevada.

Shares in Power Metal were up 20% today at 1.03p.
