Titan Lithium targets new exploration frontiers in Tanzania following ASTER analysis

Titan Lithium Inc (OTC:CDSG) has its eyes on new high-value exploration targets in Tanzania after positive multispectral ASTER analysis results.

The analysis, which was conducted by Dr Elisante Mshui from the School of Mines and Geosciences at the University of Dar es Salaam, independently confirmed new lithium prospects and helped validate prior observations, the company said in a statement.

ASTER (advanced spaceborne thermal emission and reflection radiometer) analysis uses satellite-based technology to capture optical and thermal remote sensing data. It covers a broad spectral region from visible to thermal infrared through 14 spectral bands with high spatial, spectral, and radiometric resolutions. This technology has been crucial in geological exploration for over four decades.

In the case of Titan Lithium, the ASTER analysis was conducted across the Titan 1 project area in Tanzania. The analysis examined spectral data collected in late 2023, aiming to identify key minerals indicative of lithium-bearing prospects. This includes minerals such as hectorite and illite, which are associated with lithium-rich deposits.

The study highlighted spectral anomalies concentrated in the central portion of the Titan 1 area, coinciding with the company's 2023 geochemical and geological work.

Titan intends to leverage ASTER mineral mapping to focus on these highly prospective areas.

Craig Alford, Titan Lithium's CEO, told investors that the company is “greatly encouraged and excited” by the analysis.

“The spectral characteristics that align with pathfinder and host mineral assemblages that occur within other lithium-rich deposits such as illite and hectorite gives us confidence we are in a significant area,” Alford said.

“We look forward to utilizing the ASTER mineral mapping to focus on the many new highly prospective areas not yet tested.”

Titan Lithium, a subsidiary of China Dongsheng International Inc (OTC Markets: CDSG), has assets in Nevada and Tanzania.
