Wingstop (NASDAQ:WING), the popular chicken restaurant chain, is set to open 15 new UK sites throughout 2024.
This represents the largest expansion in the UK since it crossed the pond in 2018.
Expected to generate up to 750 job opportunities, sites are set to open in areas like Hounslow, Leeds, Watford and Croydon.
Lemon Pepper Holdings, which holds the master franchise rights for Wingstop (NASDAQ:WING) in the UK, confirmed nine locations, with negotiations for the six additional sites ongoing.
Slated to open within 2024, the new sites would add to the 39 UK locations already in operation and would build on the 1,600 employees.
Tom Grogan, co-founder of Lemon Pepper Holdings, said: “2024 is going to be our biggest ever year of growth.
“There is huge momentum, and we are just getting started. We can’t wait for more of the UK to try our delicious food.”
Shares in the US-listed Wingstop (NASDAQ:WING) have jumped over 75% in the last year.
Wingstop joins a host of US fast food chains expanding into the UK.
Last week, Popeyes announced it would be opening 30 new sites, including drive-thrus and takeaway kitchens, building on the 36 locations already in operation.
In recent years, Brits have seen brands like Taco Bell, Wendy’s and Chipotle pop up on highstreets across the country.
