Sidus Space Inc (NASDAQ:SIDU) announced the appointment of veteran financial executive Richard Berman as a non-independent director.
Berman, who currently serves as a director in six public companies, has an impressive track record, having been associated with six companies that reached over $1 billion in market value over the last decade, Sidus said.
His previous roles include positions at Goldman Sachs and senior vice president of Bankers Trust Company, where he initiated the M&A Leveraged Buyout Departments.
Carol Craig, CEO of Sidus Space, told shareholders that the company was “delighted” to have Berman join the Sidus board.
“I have great respect for his exceptional financial and investment acumen and extensive experience in advising on significant and complex matters,” Craig said. “His unique perspective will be invaluable to Sidus Space and our stakeholders as we execute on our strategy.”
Leo Riera, chairman of the board, highlighted Berman's broad financial services expertise and extensive capital markets knowledge. “I look forward to welcoming him to the board and value his insights as Sidus continues its journey along the path to profitability.”
Berman himself said that he was looking forward to helping build value for shareholders. “I am joining Sidus Space at a key time as the company prepares for the initial launch of its LizzieSat,” he said. “Sidus has built an outstanding team, and I couldn’t be more excited to join the board of directors.”
