Black Swan Graphene (TSX-V:SWAN) announced that it has entered into a distribution and sales agreement for its graphene-enhanced masterbatch (GEM) products with its strategic partner Thomas Swan, a UK-based specialty chemical manufacturing company.
The company said that the agreement positions Thomas Swan as its value-added non-exclusive distributor and reseller.
It will significantly broaden the market presence of Black Swan’s GEM products through Thomas Swan’s Polymer Performance Solutions division which houses expertise in delivering value-added solutions to the rubber and polymer markets and in chemical formulations, the company highlighted.
Thomas Swan CEO and Black Swan chairman Harry Swan said that after years of investment in graphene processing development, Black Swan was established to pursue commercialization and downstream ventures.
“The efforts invested by Black Swan from its inception have now culminated in the creation of products ready for immediate commercial deployment, where they can be adopted without any supply chain disruption,” the executive said.
“Armed with this achievement, I am genuinely thrilled that Thomas Swan is now poised to harness its distribution channels and market access."
The agreement will last for five years from its effective date and the two companies have the option to renew upon mutual agreement.
A framework for transparent pricing, shipment logistics, documentation provision, invoicing, payment terms, and other respective responsibilities will be established under the agreement.
Black Swan Graphene (TSX-V:SWAN) is focused on the large-scale production and commercialization of patented high-performance and low-cost graphene products aimed at several industrial sectors, including concrete, polymers, lithium-ion batteries, and others, which are expected to require large volumes of graphene.
