Aquis reports pent-up demand for IPOs as it outstrips AIM again

Aquis Exchange said it seeing increasing interest from companies potentially looking at IPOs in 2024, with significant pent-up demand for a listing.

The growth-focused stock market added it again comfortably outstripped larger rival AIM in 2023 with sixteen new companies IPOing compared to new nine listings for the LSE's junior market.

Aquis had seen 22 listings in 2022, which again was higher than any of its rivals commented Sara-Louise Porter, a director.

“We are seeing significant pent-up demand for IPOs as a result of the macroeconomic challenges of 2023, including increased interest from potential new listings along with companies looking for a more supportive exchange partner,” Porter added.

“We have seen an encouraging amount of positive news from companies already listed on the Aquis Stock Exchange in the first few weeks of the year, and we are optimistic that we will continue to be the leading growth market for small-cap equities in 2024, as we have been for the past two years.”
