Valereum resumes engagement with Mattereum founder following GSX acquisition

Gibraltar-based technology group Valereum PLC (AQSE:VLRM, OTC:VBLXF) has resumed engagement with Vinay Gupta, founder and chief executive of Mattereum, following Valereum’s recent acquisition of the GSX Group.

Valereum first agreed to acquire GSX Group, a leading Gibraltar-based fintech company, in December 2023 in a bid it expand its capabilities in tokenised digital markets.

Valereum and Mattereum are planning to explore several opportunities and synergies between the two companies, with the aim of “revolutionising technology markets”.

Valereum will be focussing on innovative solutions and collectively looking to position itself as a key player at the forefront of industry advancements.

To formalise the start of these changes, Vinay Gupta has stepped away from his previous external advisory role with Valereum.

Valereum has appointed its own chief technical officer, Daryl McFarlane, to work closely with Mattereum to explore how to strategically optimise the use of its innovative Mattereum Asset Passport technology.

Valereum’s chief executive, Nick Cowan, stated: "Valereum is positioning itself as a leader in tokenisation, both as a technology solutions provider and as an operator of marketplaces.

“We have the greatest respect for the work that Vinay and Mattereum have accomplished over the past few years and look forward to exploring ways to better collaborate in the future, particularly with respect to fractional ownership backed by legal certainty."

A virtual shareholder meeting is scheduled for 22 February.
