C3 Metals Inc (TSX-V:CCCM, OTC:CARCF) CEO Dan Symons speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive after the Americas-focused copper-gold explorer provided an update on its 2023 exploration results and the strategy for 2024 at its 100%-owned copper-gold projects in Jamaica.
Last year, C3 Metals raised $5 million to advance its 20,000-hectare project in Jamaica, where they identified significant prospects. The company initiated a drilling program, leading to positive results and a near doubling of its market cap. Following this success, they upsized a fundraising round from $7 million to $8 million, positioning them strongly for the current year.
For 2024, C3 Metals is focusing on its Bellas Gate project in Jamaica, planning an extensive 20,000-meter drilling program. This effort is concentrated on a 4-kilometer area rich in exploration indicators like copper and selenium soil anomalies, magnetic highs, and IP chargeability highs. These criteria have consistently yielded strong drilling results for the company.
Despite these advancements, C3 Metals experienced a temporary decline in share price following a share consolidation and fundraising in December. Symons attributed this to delays in exchange approvals and miscommunication among Canadian brokerage firms. He remains optimistic, viewing the current situation as an opportune moment for investors, with the company well-funded and ready to generate significant news flow through its robust drilling program.
