Incanthera Chairman on "transformational" deal with world's largest health & beauty retailer

Incanthera Chairman on "transformational" deal with world's largest health & beauty retailer

Incanthera PLC (AQSE:INC) Chairman Tim McCarthy visits the Proactive London Studio to speak with Thomas Warner after the UK-based, dermatology and oncology therapeutics company announced what he calls a "transformational" deal with Marionnaud, a subsidiary of the world's largest health and beauty retailer A.S. Watson.

McCarthy explains the significance of the deal for Incanthera and its shareholders, after a relatively quiet period for the business. The agreement focuses on the rollout of Incanthera's innovative skincare products, starting in Europe.

The products, developed using Incanthera's proprietary technology, efficiently deliver bioactive vitamin B3 through the skin, a feat previously unachievable. This breakthrough has significant implications for skincare, particularly in protecting and repairing skin from UV damage. The initial launch will occur in Switzerland and Austria, with plans for rapid expansion across Europe and Asia, tapping into Watson's vast network of over 16,000 stores.

McCarthy highlights the strategic partnership with contract manufacturer Richland to handle production, ensuring Incanthera can meet the demand without heavy capital investment. This approach aligns with their low-overhead, high-efficiency business model.

McCarthy expects the deal to transform Incanthera from a non-revenue generating entity into a profitable and cash-generative business in 2024. He adds that Incanthera is also exploring expansion opportunities in North America and Australia.
