Great Western Mining Corporation PLC (AIM:GWMO) shares soared 40% as it reported its new processing mill in Nevada has been built and is now just awaiting an environmental permit.
Once that comes through, GWM said commissioning and start-up of mill operations will begin.
The mill is owned and operated by Western Milling, a 50-50 joint venture between Great Western and local contractor Muletown Enterprizes.
Initially, the mill will process approximately 35 tonnes per day and can be expanded at a minimal cost to 200 tonnes/day, once operating parameters have been established said GWM.
Brian Hall, WM chairman, added: "Western Milling has achieved its objective of completing construction of the processing mill by the end of 2023, within 12 months of project start-up.
"The joint venture is ready to commission the plant and start operations as soon as the environmental permit has been issued. "
Shares rose 0.02p to 0.05p.
