Honda Motor (NYSE:HMC) unveiled a pair of space-age style electric vehicles (EVs) at the CES technology event in Las Vegas Tuesday that the automaker says are coming in 2026.
The new models called 'Space-Hub' and 'Saloon' will make up the Honda 0 Series EVs.
“We will create a completely new value from zero based on thin, light and wise as the foundation for our new Honda 0 EV series to further advance the joy and freedom of mobility to the next level,” CEO Toshihiro Mibe said in a statement.
Both vehicles have sleek, curved bodies with neon light trim that resemble something between a space shuttle and a TRON light cycle.
The Saloon is a sedan adorned with a neon Honda H logo on the front and a digital dashboard and yoke steering wheel on the interior.
The Space-Hub is a minivan that includes many of the features of the Saloon but at a slightly larger scale.
Both cars are expected to feature an advanced driver-assistive system, with 'automated driving' introduced down the line.
“The next generation AD system is being developed based on Honda’s ‘human-centric’ safety concept,” Honda said in a statement. “It will feature advanced AI, sensing, recognition and driver monitoring technologies to achieve more human-like, natural and high-precision risk predictions, making it possible to offer AD features people can feel safe and confident using.”
