G Mining Ventures Corp (TSX-V:GMIN, OTCQX:GMINF) shares rose sharply after it told investors the Toronto Stock Exchange has given final approval for the listing of its shares on the TSX from market open on January 11, 2024, under its current stock symbol "GMIN."
By 2pm in Toronto, the stock was 7.7% higher at C$1.68.
The company noted that its shares will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange before starting trading on the TSX. Shareholders are not required to exchange their share certificates or take any other action, it added.
Following its reorganization in the fourth quarter of 2020, the company said it has sought to uphold the highest level of corporate governance and transparency standards while acquiring, financing and building its Tocantinzinho Gold Project in Brazil’s Pará State.
"This major milestone of graduating from the TSXV to the TSX main board is a testament to our team's integrity and the sustainability of our business," G Mining Ventures president and CEO Louis-Pierre Gignac commented in a statement.
"As a significant marketplace for capital and premier exchange for resource-focused companies, the TSX will provide the platform to increase our capital markets visibility, enhance our reputation, and should ultimately increase the common shares' liquidity. This will allow us to attract new investors, grow our business, and continue building long-term value for our shareholders."
