Zinc8 Energy Solutions (CSE:ZAIR) has announced that longstanding director David Hodge has chosen to retire from its board of directors and has been replaced by energy sector veteran Keith Morlock.
The company noted that Hodge made significant contributions to the company in its early days and his guidance had a profound impact.
With decades of experience in the energy sector, it said Morlock, a founding partner at Blackland Energy Partners, brings unparalleled expertise in leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation. These will support the infrastructure, development, and revenue objectives of the company, it added.
In addition, Zinc8 noted that Morlock’s played a pivotal role in its revitalization, setting the company on a trajectory of renewed growth. His appointment solidifies his commitment to advancing the company's strategic initiatives, particularly in the development of its innovative Zaeras Flow Battery technology.
“Mr Morlock brings unparalleled expertise in devising and executing operational and marketing strategies, coupled with a profound business acumen that has been instrumental in redefining Zinc8's objectives,” Zinc8 CEO Jason Birmingham commented in a statement.
“Moving forward, he will actively participate in financings and additional restructuring efforts to bolster confidence in the capital market.”
The company said Morlock’s appointment to its board comes at a pivotal time as it undergoes a strategic reorganization and prepares to introduce the Zaeras zinc-based energy storage technology to market.
"Zinc8 occupies a distinctive position in the energy storage industry, and I am eager to collaborate with the management team to foster innovation and drive growth at Zinc8,” Morlock said.
Zinc8 Energy Solutions focuses on developing and commercializing its low-cost, long-duration zinc-air energy storage system (ZESS) for utilities, microgrid, and commercial and industrial markets.
