GoviEx Uranium Inc (TSX-V:GXU, OTCQX:GVXXF) CEO Daniel Major speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive after the Africa-focused mineral resource company announced that it has completed an extensive drill program in support of its ongoing feasibility study at its 100%-owned Muntanga uranium project located in Zambia.
Major puts the drill campaign in context and says he anticipates the upcoming feasibility study will reflect enhanced volume and tonnage, although final results are pending geologist analysis.
Additionally, GoviEx is focusing on sustainable practices, with plans to use green power from Lake Kariba as well as efforts to reduce water and power consumption. The CEO expresses confidence in maintaining capital costs at 2017 levels despite potential technical risks.
Major remains cautiously optimistic about the uranium market, with prices currently favorable for the company. The feasibility report, expected in summer 2024, will be a significant milestone for GoviEx, post which they plan to move into project financing.
