Honda Motor's (NYSE:HMC) US division has announced a recall of roughly 4.5 million vehicles globally due to concerns of possible fuel pump failure.
The recall affects 2.54 million vehicles in the US and follows similar recalls of 136,000 US vehicles in 2020 and another 628,000 in 2021 due to the same issue.
Specifically, this recall affects 2018-2020 Accord, Civic, CR-V, HR-V, Insight, Ridgeline, Odyssey, Passport and some Acura models.
It also comes just a day after Honda recalled 106,030 other CR-V hybrid vehicles over fears of potential fires or crashes caused by overheated battery cables or short circuits.
Meanwhile, the automaker has also recently issued recalls in China and Japan.
Honda will replace the fuel pump module, according to a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The company noted that it has seen no reports of injuries due to fuel pump failure but has received more than 4,000 warranty claims.
