Tocvan Ventures Corp. (CSE:TOC) announced that it is preparing for a 10,000-meter (m) drill program at its Pilar gold-silver project in Sonora, Mexico with the aim of completing a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate in late 2024.
The drill program is scheduled to kick off in late January and continue throughout the year.
The objectives of the drill program are resource infill and expansion drilling and the evaluation of new discoveries and targets.
The company said that subject to market conditions, it may expand the drill program to 20,000m to evaluate target areas at Pilar and the earlier-stage Picacho project.
Noting the company’s past drill success and recent bulk sample milestones, Tocvan CEO Brodie Sutherland said there was no shortage of drill targets across the now-expanded project area.
“Our primary focus will be on resource definition while we test several new discoveries across greater Pilar,” Sutherland said.
“In addition, we will continue to advance our permitting initiatives towards development. 2024 will be a transformative year for Tocvan as we look to establish and showcase a resource that can sustain a long life of mine."
Tocvan Ventures is a well-structured exploration development company. It was created in order to take advantage of the prolonged downturn in the junior mining exploration sector, by identifying and negotiating interest in opportunities where management feels they can build upon previous success.
