Brookfield Corporation is trying to sell renewable assets owned by its company Saeta Yield worth 1.5 billion euros ($1.64 billion) including debt, Reuters reported on Monday, citing five people familiar with the matter.
Brookfield is working with Santander and Societe Generale on the sale of the wind and photovoltaic plants located in Spain and Portugal, the media outlet noted.
Saeta Yield owns 28 wind farms and 10 photovoltaic parks, in addition to seven solar thermal plants that are not part of the sale process.
Brookfield, Santander and Societe Generale declined to comment on the story, according to Reuters.
Brookfield acquired Saeta in 2018 for 1 billion euros.
Shares of Brookfield Corp were flat in midday trading on Monday.
