Mountain Valley MD Holdings Inc (CSE:MVMD, OTCQB:MVMDF) (MVMD) announced that it has appointed Yong Yao as its chief financial officer (CFO), effective January 15, 2024.
CFO Lucie Letellier has resigned from the position due to the resurgence of health issues and will assist with the leadership transition, MVMD said.
The company highlighted that Yao is a seasoned CFO with experience across financial markets, corporate governance, and international business, most recently serving as the CFO of Hanalytics BioMind.
He has also held leadership roles at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS), and Scotia Bank Canada.
“I am very pleased to welcome Yong Yao to the MVMD team to support our commercialization growth phase and the scaling of our operations globally,” MVMD CEO Dennis Hancock said in a statement.
“Mr. Yao is a very accomplished CFO and has joined us at a very important time as we navigate complex international sales, royalty, and tax strategies.”
MVMD also thanked Letellier for her contributions to the company.
“Seeing the relapse in Lucie Letellier’s health is very unfortunate and we respect the important need for her to focus on her wellbeing with her family at this time,” Hancock said.
“We are grateful for her support of MVMD and willingness to manage through this transition window to minimize any potential disruption to the business.”
MVMD is building a world-class organization centred around the implementation, licensing and reselling of key technologies and formulations: patented Quicksome oral formulation and delivery technologies; patented Quicksol solubility formulation technology; and licensed product reseller of Agrarius, a novel agricultural plant signaling technology.
