DocuSign shares rose more than 11% following a Wall Street Journal report which claimed the company is exploring a sale.
Citing people with knowledge of the matter, the publication said the e-signature company, valued at $11 billion, was working with advertisers to explore a sale. It could attract interest from private equity firms and technology companies.
The talks are in early stage and there is no guarantee a deal will be reached, the sources said.
DocuSign declined to comment on the report.
Its shares traded up 11.4% at US$62.51 on Friday afternoon.
