More data on the health of the UK economy tomorrow in the shape of flash PMIs for manufacturing and services and an update on consumer confidence will be the highlights of Friday's diary.
S&P Global/CIPS UK Composite PMI was revised higher to 50.7 in November 2023, up from a preliminary estimate of 50.1 and from 48.7 in October, says Trading Economics.
Services boosted last month with manufacturing notching the smallest since April.
Whether the mood has turned after the poor GDP read earlier this week remains to be seen.
GfK's Consumer Confidence indicator also rose in November to -24 from -30 in October, with interest rates steady and mortgage rates and inflation now falling, that trend might continue.
