Chesapeake Bank recognized as one of 2023's Best Banks to Work For

Chesapeake Financial Shares Inc. (OTCQX:CPKF) subsidiary Chesapeake Bank has once again solidified its reputation as a top workplace, securing a spot on the esteemed list of the 2023 Best Banks to Work For by American Banker.

This marks the 11th consecutive year that the Kilmarnock, Virginia-based bank has been recognized.

American Banker, in collaboration with Best Companies Group, conducted a thorough evaluation based on an anonymous employee survey and a comprehensive review of the benefits and perks offered by participating banks.

Out of the 90 banks featured in the 2023 ranking, Chesapeake Bank secured the 61st position.

The evaluation process looks at workplace policies, practices, and demographics as well as employee surveys. Employee experiences and attitudes help determine the final rankings.

Jeff Szyperski, CEO of Chesapeake Bank, expressed pride in the bank's consistent inclusion in the list, highlighting the commitment to cultivating a workplace culture that resonates with employees.

"The overall environment we have created makes for engaged and satisfied employees which, in turn, satisfies and rewards our customers and shareholders," Szyperski noted.

Chesapeake Bank has not only been a fixture on the Best Banks to Work For list since 2013 but has also held a place on the Top 200 Community Banks in the Nation list since 2007.
