Take-Two Interactive Software Inc (NASDAQ:TTWO) stock moved higher in early trade on Wednesday after it was revealed the video game maker is being included in the Nasdaq 100.
Nasdaq said the stock will be added to the tech-heavy index effective prior to the market open on Monday, December 18.
It will replace Seagen, with the drugmaker’s acquisition by Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE) expected to close this week.
The company’s addition to the Nasdaq 100 comes just days after its Rockstar Games segment released the trailer for the highly-anticipated next installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
Take-Two shares were up 3.1% at US$162 on Wednesday morning. It has gained 57.1% in the year to date.
