Greatland Gold identifies anomaly at Scallywag prospect

Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) said it has identified another potential anomaly from the latest drilling and geophysical results at Scallywag, adjacent to its Havieron development in Paterson, Western Australia..

Magnetic tests highlighted the conductor at depth within a syncline fold structure along the mineralised trend from Havieron.

Anomalous gold and copper were also identified in assays from all four prospects, said the statement.

Best grades were 1 metre (m) at 0.83 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 238m and a peak copper intercept of 2m at 0.17% Cu from 310m.

Shaun Day, Greatland's managing director, said this latest phase of geological testing at Scallywag had given an enhanced understanding of the geology around the syncline target area.

The untested conductor target is coincident with a structural trap which “potentially delineates the key structure to be tested", he added.

Greatland owns 100% of the Scallywag prospect.
