The Afterhours — Netflix releases streaming data report; Apple raises the bar for law enforcement to access push notification data

Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:NFLX) has published its first biannual streaming data report, giving a glimpse into the nearly 100 billion hours of content viewed between January and June.

The report, titled 'What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report', offers a glimpse into how Netflix originals compare to licensed content.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) now requires law enforcement to obtain an order from a judge to access users’ push notification data, according to reports.

Apple didn’t announce the policy change but it is currently listed among the company’s publicly available law enforcement guidelines.

Meanwhile, OpenAI is worth a cool $86 billion, according to private valuations, but the ChatGPT developer reported just $44,485 in revenue last year.

The artificial intelligence (AI) startup is a nonprofit, and that revenue figure comes from its 990 filing with the Internal Revenue Service, which establishes its tax-exempt status. The document was originally published by PlainSite last week.
