Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) shares fell more than 8% in Monday’s after-hours session after the cloud services provider announced second-quarter fiscal 2024 revenue that rose 5% year over year to $12.9 billion, falling short of the $13.05 billion analyst consensus estimate.
The company’s adjusted earnings per share (EPS) for the period of $1.34, though, edged past Wall Street expectations by a penny.
Casey's General Stores Inc (NASDAQ:CASY) shares traded lower after the convenience store chain reported mixed fiscal second-quarter results.
The company, whose portfolio also includes grocery items, posted a 16% year-over-year increase in diluted earnings per share to $4.24 from $3.67, topping estimates of $3.65.
Blue Bird Corp (NASDAQ:BLBD) shares rose nearly 8% in extended trading Monday after the company’s fiscal fourth-quarter results swung to a profit.
The electric and low-emission school bus producer posted adjusted earnings of $0.66 per share, compared to a loss of $0.66 per share a year earlier and above expectations of $0.47 per share. Revenue was $303 million in the quarter, up 17% year-over-year and topping expectations of $290.11 million.
Meanwhile, the United Auto Workers (UAW), fresh off negotiating record labor contracts with the Big Three Detroit automakers, filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board against Honda Motor (NYSE:HMC) (Honda Motor (NYSE:HMC)), Hyundai and Volkswagen Group (XETRA:VOW) (Volkswagen Group (XETRA:VOW)) on Monday.
