RocketFuel Blockchain Inc (OTCQB:RKFL) is benefitting as more businesses and individuals turn to blockchain to securely and efficiently move money from A to B.
In 2023 so far, the company has processed 423,000 payment transactions involving 122,000 unique users leveraging its blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies with this number expected to grow massively in 2024, the company’s CEO Peter Jensen told Proactive in a recent interview.
“And that ranges from large billion-dollar businesses that need to make a payment to their subsidiary, which may be in the millions, to the individual consumer that's making a $10 purchase,” he said.
“They were all transactions with a business at one end – we’re not a consumer-oriented organization. All these businesses transact either with other businesses or receive or pay money to consumers.”
Jensen said the company’s technology is optimizing how people move money from place to place “just like Uber is moving people from A to B.”
The adoption of blockchain for payment processing is becoming more mainstream on the consumer side but it’s still early days, Jensen said.
“When you look at the number of transactions that Visa and Mastercard process and how many are blockchain and crypto, that’s still very small,” he told Proactive.
He highlighted the importance of consumers becoming comfortable with new blockchain technology.
“I remember my mum didn’t feel comfortable withdrawing money from ATMs for a long time. She still went into the bank and got her money,” he told Proactive.
“It just takes time to change people’s behavior and make them comfortable.”
RocketFuel is a global payments solution company that provides online shoppers with a simple, easy-to-use, one-click checkout process that accepts payments with bank transfers, Bitcoin and 160-plus cryptocurrencies.
