Renforth Resources Inc (CSE:RFR, OTCQB:RFHRF) has updated shareholders on recent successful nickel prospecting on its McCart Property near Iroquois Falls in Ontario and unexpected mineralized occurrences at the end of the last drill hole on the Victoria mineralized system on its Surimeau property near Malartic in Quebec.
The McCart sampling program, conducted during the Fall 2023 prospecting program, focused on the property's ultramafic sequence, revealing a diverse range of geological features. Ultramafic and mafic units, with very fine sulfide mineralization, were prevalent in the samples. Of the 28 samples taken, 10 returned assay values exceeding 1000 parts per million (ppm) nickel, with the highest value of 2230ppm nickel from sample M007452.
At Surimeau, during the final hole of the Victoria drill program, two additional mineralized occurrences were discovered. The first occurred within the typical blue/green ultramafics, featuring dark grey-black bands of graphite and magnetite. The second, a zone of intense carbonate-plagioclase alteration and recrystallization, was found between 296.6 to 300.15 metres, a phenomenon previously observed only once in Renforth's drilling history at Victoria.
"Ending our program with bonus mineralization at the end of the hole is, of course, exciting but also illustrates that we have not yet defined what Victoria is; it keeps getting better," Renforth president and CEO Nicole Brewster commented in a statement.
