Casey's General Stores Inc (NASDAQ:CASY) reports second-quarter results after the closing bell on Monday and analysts expect the company to deliver a mixed bag.
The Ankeny, Iowa-based operator of convenience stores hasn’t provided an outlook for the quarter ended October 31, 2023, although it has guided for full-year same-store sales to increase by 3% to 5%.
Zacks Consensus Estimate has pegged revenue for the quarter at $4.15 billion, up 4.3% from a year earlier and in line with Casey’s guidance.
Earnings are expected to have declined marginally, down 0.5%, to $3.65 per share, according to the consensus of five analysts polled by Zacks.
However, Zacks noted that the company has a trailing four-quarter earnings surprise of 17.5%, on average. In the last quarter, its bottom line surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by a margin of 34.5%.
Ahead of its results, Casey’s shares were down 0.7% at $272.75 in Friday pre-market trading.
