Elon Musk's Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) lost a legal action against Sweden's postal service, PostNord, amidst escalating disputes with Nordic trade unions.
A Swedish court ruled that PostNord is not obligated to deliver Tesla's license plates after postal workers threw their weight behind striking workers in conflict with the car giant.
This decision is part of a broader conflict over collective bargaining agreements, with IF Metall mechanics in Sweden striking since October 27.
The company's refusal to enter into these agreements has led to increased pressure, including a large Danish pension fund divesting from Tesla and Denmark's largest trade union supporting the Swedish workers' strike.
The court's interim decision, pending a final ruling, comes after Tesla sued PostNord over the delivery stoppage.
