Powerhouse Energy Group PLC (AIM:PHE) has appointed Ben Brier as chief financial officer permanently, after having the role on an acting basis since August last year.
The waste-to-energy company noted that Brier has more than a quarter of a century’s experience and highlighted that he has “a strong track record of enhancing operational efficiencies and providing cost-saving solutions”.
He previously worked as group finance director at Scotfield Group, the property developer, and knows commercial, industrial and residential construction, including “project recovery within a joint venture for a sustainably focused PLC”.
Powerhouse chief executive Paul Emmitt said: "He brings a wealth of experience in financial and commercial operations and has already made a substantial contribution to the company's continued development and growth.
“His move onto the Executive team means that we now have a secure and stable board structure, that will allow us to make financial decisions quickly and efficiently in respect of projects and financing."
