Kootenay Silver drills more high-grade silver at Columba project in Mexico

Kootenay Silver Inc. (TSX-V:KTN) has announced results from an additional four holes of the current 2023 diamond drilling program at its Columba silver project in Mexico, which included 6 meters (m) averaging 435 grams per tonne (g/t) silver within a broad 22m of 174 g/t silver.

The exploration company said the program is now complete and totals 12 holes for a total of 3,052.8m designed to extend known mineralization on the 'D Vein' target area at Columba.

"Each hole to date has expanded the size of the zone," Kootenay Silver CEO James McDonald said in a statement.

"We have two more holes to report on in this drill program, which are step outs to the southeast, where surface mapping indicates several hundred meters of strike potential on the vein," he added.

Kootenay noted the current program brings the project total to over 30,000m drilled in 147 holes since 2019.

The company added that the current drilling program is designed to extend the D-Vein in preparation of a wider spaced follow up program aimed to delineate a maiden resource estimate expected in late 2024.

Kootenay Silver is an exploration company actively engaged in the discovery and development of mineral projects in the Sierra Madre Region of Mexico while continuing to provide its shareholders with significant leverage to silver prices.
