Zeb Nickel appoints James Nieuwenhuys as CEO

Zeb Nickel (TSX-V:ZBNI, OTC:ZBNIF) has a new CEO in James Nieuwenhuys, who replaces interim CEO Richard Montjoie at the helm of the South African-focused nickel explorer.

Nieuwenhuys, a seasoned mining executive with a background in greenfield and brownfield exploration projects, brings extensive experience, having served as CEO of Eurasia Mining PLC (AIM:EUA) and COO at Polyus Gold.

Montjoie will continue in his role as vice president exploration and director, the company said in a statement.

With a focus on advancing the flagship Zeb Project in South Africa, Nieuwenhuys aims to drive strategic growth and create shareholder value, emphasizing the exploration of higher-grade nickel-PGE resources.

“We are excited about the exploration results to date and my short-term goals are to re-commence exploration drilling as soon as possible with the aim of declaring a higher-grade nickel-PGE resource,” the new CEO said in a statement.

Based in Vancouver, Zeb Nickel (TSX-V:ZBNI, OTC:ZBNIF) is dedicated to exploring and developing mineral deposits crucial for rechargeable batteries, including nickel, graphite, lithium, cobalt, manganese, copper, and aluminum.

The Zeb Nickel (TSX-V:ZBNI, OTC:ZBNIF) project, located in the Bushveld Complex, is a developing Class 1 nickel sulfide project.
