Genvor Inc. Chief Scientific Officer Clayton Yates speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive after the sustainable plant health solutions developer successfully listed on the OCTQB Venture Market.
Yates explains that the business is using peptide technology to give farmers better crop-protection solutions, saying "our technology essentially attacks pathogens and bacteria to allow the plant to growth healthily and increase crop yield." He reveals what he considers Genvor's USP to be, noting a strong emphasis on being eco-friendly and sustainable, before going on to address its ambitions post-listing.
He says the business has been in "stealth mode" for the last four years developing its technology and preparing to enter the market at a price that customers will find attractive.
He says "our next milestone will absolutely be commercialisation of our product" and adds that the technology is well suited for a variety of crops - a factor that he hopes will give Genvor a competitive advantage in time.
