Shares in System1 Group (AIM:SYS1) PLC shot up 26% to 220p after the marketing platform group swung to a first-half profit, boosted by over 100 new client wins and partnerships with the likes of Pinterest and JC Decaux.
A year after a major strategic review, revenue rose 27% to £13.3 million for the six months ended 30 September, with platform revenue soaring by 44%, thanks to partnerships such as with the above giants.
System1's expansion into non-TV ad testing and forthcoming innovative product launches contributed significantly to its performance, it said.
Its Test Your Ad and Test Your Idea solutions are designed to quickly predict the short- and long-term commercial potential of ads and ideas.
Adjusted profit before tax of £1.9 million rose from a £0.4 million loss a year ago, with operational efficiencies leading to a 17% reduction in sales costs.
Free cash flow of £0.6 million was generated, with a cash balance of £6.3 million at the half year.
Chief executive James Gregory said: "One year after our strategic review there are signs that the company's fame-building activity and renewed focus on execution are working.
