Stellantis to bring Fiat500e to US in early 2024

Stellantis NV (NYSE:STLA, EPA:STLA)’s Fiat 500e will go on sale in the United States in the first quarter of 2024, marking its first electric vehicle (EV) to enter the market.

The Italian-built minicar is returning to the US in a special edition called the 500eRED model which will be priced starting at $32,500 plus a $1,595 destination fee.

The company said the two-door, four-seat vehicle will be the lightest EV in the country at 3,000 pounds and its 42 kWh battery has a range of 149 miles.

It also features an Acoustic Vehicle Alert System, a standard low-speed audio warning system required in all EVs, with an “Italian twist.”

“The exclusive melody gives a taste of Italian culture during the first moments of every drive,” the company said.

Additional 500e models will be available at Fiat dealerships in the future, a Fiat spokesperson told CNBC.
