Five9, the business communication software company, is exploring options for a sale, according to reporting by Bloomberg News citing sources familiar with the matter.
The company is gauging interest from potential buyers, the report said, including Zoom Video Communications Inc (NASDAQ:ZM), which tried to acquire Five9 in October 2021 for $14.7 billion. Zoom abandoned the proposal after Five9 shareholders voted against it.
Five9 supplies a suite of cloud-based software that enables companies to set up and manage their contact center and staff, which would have boosted Zoom’s presence with enterprise customers.
Notably, discussions are ongoing and no deal has been finalized this time around.
Shares of Five9 jumped 7.4% Monday.
