Volta Metals Ltd (CSE:VLTA) CEO Kerem Usenmez recently joined Proactive virtually from the company’s Falcon West lithium project to talk through its initial drill program which recently commenced at the northwestern Ontario property.
The company is testing five outcrops of spodumene-bearing lithium-pegmatites identified during its Phase 1 exploration program in August. The pegmatites cover a 300-metre by 500-metre area.
“Right now, drilling is our main objective – we want to see the extent of what we saw on the surface,” he told Proactive.
“We’re trying to understand where this originated from and what kind of geochemistry we’re seeing.”
Usenmez said the drill results, expected in mid-January, and recently received soil sample results will be used by Volta Metals to come up with the second phase of its exploration program.
He highlighted that Volta Metals was scratching the surface of the underexplored property. “It’s an exciting time for Volta,” he said.
Volta Metals is a Canadian critical metal exploration Company with an emerging lithium discovery in northwestern Ontario.
